We were snorkelling in the open ocean around Julian Rocks. We saw loads of fish and even a whale breaching which was the highlight of the trip out.

The best dive I've had at Julian Rocks. Grey nurse sharks, wobbygongs, turtles. The viz wasn't great. Maybe 5m. Friendly staff. Quite nice they remembered me from my last visit several years ago!

Beach launch from the pass then a short boat ride from beautiful Byron bay beach and your there. Viability wasn't good during our dive but it allowed us to get up close and personal with the diverse marine life around the rocks.
