Came here from the Eden Project which had failed to impress. This was very different, you could see the amount of work that had gone in and the garden was tastefully presented. Only problem is that there are steep slopes if you want to explore...More

My wife and I went here at the last minute during the very hot weather in June this year rather than the Eden project. Good decision as the plants and landscape gave fantastic shade and cool places to site and rest. The gardens are very...More

Nicely laid out. Good walk. Need 4 hours or more to do it justice. A little expensive at £37 for family of 4. Unless your children are interested in gardens I would think twice about visiting as it's a long time to keep them entertained

Visited about 10 years ago and loved the gardens. Looked forward to an update and found the whole place looking very uncared for. Didn't want or expect manicured gardens but not looking so untidy. The vegetable garden was a disgrace. Won't be recommending a visit...More

Expected a much wider selection of flower borders and shrubbery but not very colourful considering mid summer when there should be masses of different flowers.

I think you would need more than a day to see all there is. Lots to explore with young children and some farm animals. Didn't see any play equipment as such but open grass to play games. Good food options at reasonable prices. No specific...More

What a beautiful place to visit, this isn't a place you can spend half an hour looking round you could be there for a couple of days and probably not see it all. Amazing species of plants from all over the world with rope bridges...More

Worth a visit , but slightly disappointing . Some nice things to see , but lots of woodland too . Even though the food was excellent , the service was slow and chaotic and it was very very warm in the restaurant ( despite moderate...More

We recently visited Cornwall to go to some of the main Gardens. Heligan was our favourite. Why? Its history, has a bit of everything, flowers, veg, woodland and farmland. Excellent ice cream. Definitely worth seeing and spending a day.

My partner and I visited and it wasn't what I was expecting. The woodland walks was pleasant and the gardens are what you would expect. It is very dog friendly but it needs more water stops as we only found 2 one by the house...More

The Lost Gardens of Heligan is a 200 acre estate. We recommend that you allow a minimum of 3-4 hours to get a real feel for the gardens but as the other comments say, you could be here all day!
