Lostwithiel is a charming little town with a great history. The Tudor Bridge is interesting and charming. There is a lovely picnic area beside the bridge.

The Tudor Bridge in Lostwithiel demonstrates just how old the town is. There is a sign nearby which states that it has been extended. There are places for people to sit, read the paper and have a picnic next to the river. You can drive or walk across the bridge to reach the railway station or to the far side... More

Park in NT car parks. Lovely walks in woodlands and country. Cycle track with bikes for hire. Toilets and cafes . Nearby NT property Llannhydrock House and gardens well worth a visit. Wonderful!

Beautiful setting in a lovely little town in Cornwall lovely to sit by in the summer and have a picnic , also lots of history attached to the bridge and lostwithiels wealth

We visited here once and moved 150 miles down here to live, in summer this just buzzes with life, smell of BBQ ,kids play in the water, just a great place to meet and chat, you will feel relaxed here the people, our people are polite and courteous, come on down, we have lived here 4 years and loved every... Lovely setting over the River Fowey. A walk round Lostwithiel is charming and takes you back in time!

Great picnic area next to this great little bridge over the River Fowey, if the weather is ok . It's worth a visit if visiting Lostwithiel.

One of the things as an Aussie travelling in the UK is the gorgeous delight of the "English Village". Walking around following the streets we came upon the bridge. On a glorious September Autumn day it really did bring a serenity and peace as we sat watching the water flow. People say "stop and smell the roses". We suggest "stop... More

If you're in lostwithiel this is recommended - an old bridge by a pleasant river. Not worth a long detour unless you're a fan of medieval bridges
