We visited Godolphin on a grey day in November. It's a way off the beaten track near Helston, but it's well worth the visit. The house wasn't open on the day of our visit, but there are still plenty of interesting buildings to wander through,...More

Came her for lunch and then spent the next 4 hours here! The lady at the gate was very friendly but keen to point out to us that the shop only sold light refreshments - however the sandwiches were excellent and the coffee and tea...More

Visited the house with a very knowledgeable guide, wandered around the garden and walked up Godolphin Hill. Really good day. It was interesting to find the house could be rented out, but with the lift permanently out of action it could put a number of...More

I stayed here with my family over Christmas, and it was fantastic! Lovely and stunning grounds. The only down fall was that we had to drive to do any fun and enjoyable walks... Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay here.

A beautiful old house has been destroyed by modernisation. The house is used as a holiday let and subsequently has been updated with modern bathrooms and kitchen. Not at all what I expected. The best part about the place is the extensive grounds.

Only popped in for a cuppa but found a little gem. Very interesting history also used in Poldark. Very informative and actively being restored.

This is one of those places that has real rustic charm, which is a delight to spend time at. OK, its got some real rough edges, but we really loved it. The National Trust have certainly tried to be sympathetic with the restoration, by not...More
