Woodland walks in calm tranquility
May 2021
This is an excellent place to walk and enjoy woodland paths and if you haven't got a dog explore the wildlife and garden areas. I guess dog walkers who don't leash dogs in wild life areas have ruined it for others.....

We wondered around for a while and feeling hot and hungry found our way to the cafe; which being Council run and therefore not needing to provide a commercial return was closed!!! Yes closed on a bank holiday Monday they could have had that place full to the rafters but its obviously just designed as someone's "pet" project....probably won a grant to get it built says the cynical me ?

Dont let that put you off bring a flask and have a picnic instead. This place is worth a visit with or without your pooch.

Great woodland area
Apr 2021 • Couples
It's a great place and the dog loved it ! It was disappointing to see the cafe and toilets were closed. There was outside seating so it was perfectly reasonable it should be open.

Cornwall Council Needs to Sort
May 2021
Beautiful woodland, but woeful lack of signs so difficult to find your way. Could easily get lost. When finally found cafe it was closed; so were toilets. This was late morning on bank Holiday Monday! Even though weather not good, there were many visitors.

Loved this area and we combined a walk here with the coastal path along from Portreath. Well worth a visit if in the area. Lovely for dog walking.

Relaxing afternoon stroll
Dec 2020
Lovely place for a walk. We took the wheelchair route and it was a bit too muddy for the wheelchair to cope with in places.
Recommend having the map from the website downloaded / printed for reference.

Tehidy is always a good afternoon out :)
Dec 2020 • Couples
Tehidy is always a good place when you want to head out but don't really know where to go. It can be very busy at times which is a nightmare for parking, but with over 9 miles of paths to explore there is room for everyone! They also have a cafe, however I'm unsure of opening times as it always appears to be shut when we visit.

There are always hungry squirrels and ducks/swans etc, so be sure to bring some food for them (but please make sure it is suitable for them, bread is not good for ducks!) And if you're lucky you'll also spot some uncommon birds, great if you're into photography or bird spotting!

Tranquil picturesque Walks
Apr 2020 • Couples
Although parking can be a problem on busy days the park is sensational. Going at bluebell time in April is awesome. There are plenty of walks to choose from depending on the time you want to spend there. Cyclists have special routes which don't impinge on the enjoyment of walkers. Bird watchers can find plenty of wildlife. It is a peaceful place to to visit. The onsite café serves snacks and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Toilets are clean. Altogether well worth a visit. Easy to find 5 minutes drive from A30 Pool turnoff.

Excellent walking.

Large country park, good walkable tracks, convenient car parks, though sometimes all are full. Areas designated to non dog walks so perfect for small children and toddlers. Mostly dog friendly. Excellent cafe.

Beautiful country park
Sep 2020
A really well maintained and extensive country park, with easy links to the SW Coastal Footpath. We had a super circular 8 mile walk that took in woods, coast and fields. Highly recommended.
