What a fantastic place...brings it home to you exactly what people went through in the war..it made us feel very emotional. Proud of a our ancestors. The staff were really good.lots of information given.well worth a visit

Really recommend a visit here if you like your history and local history. Staff are brilliant and helpful and it gives you a real feel for our last generation and beyond. Excellent museum

A brilliant place to explore local history. Excellent for school trips too. It helps you understand how people might have felt during air raids. Staff are very helpful and passionate about the stories of the air raid shelters.

It depends which tour you choose the standard self guided which is shorter would not be to bad as its mostly flatish but it depends how bad your walking problem is. The longer guided with them is quite a lot longer and more... More
Two questions. 1. Is this likely to be interesting to a child of 9? 2. Would it be pretty cold in there visiting now, i.e. January?

I would say yes it would be interesting but the film beforehand could be a drag as it goes on a bit, not sure about a coat we were fine in just a thin jacket.

£4.75 and £3.50 O.A.P but that's 2016 prices they may have increased now.
