We had a very nice day out on the Severn Valley railway. The staff were very helpful and accomadating and so very friendly but also knowledgeable about all the trains, and everything to do with the railway. I would definitely recommend a day out and is suitable for all ages.

This is one of the finest heritage railways in the country and as I do every year, I popped up to the Diesel gala again. The promise of 20+ different loco's and even Mk2 d carriages brought in was an added draw. However, that really is where the enjoyment ended. On 18th May, the first day of the gala, it... More

I visited today with my 2.5 year old son who loves trains. I read on the website that you can buy a parking token with your ticket so I didn't worry about change for car parking as I was going to pay on card. When I got to the svr car park at Kidderminster it was full so I had... More

Spent the day at the diesel gala today. Up and down on various diesels to Bridgenorth. It is good to be able to stop off at some of the lovely stations along the way.

As this was the annual diesel gala, I decided to pop along and take a look. The staff greeted everyone by the main entrance and were friendly and welcoming. There were a number of sales stands/stalls available inside the vast station building and no shortage of eateries available. There were lots of locomotives working throughout the day, adhering to a... More
