Very good day out
Jul 2021 • Couples
Well worth a visit to see the stones "close up" . The transport from the centre to the stones is very efficient and socially distanced. On a hot sunny day it is a great place to sit, watch the world go by and listen to the excellent commentary app.

Catering at the main centre is fine.

Magical 50th birthday 🥳
Jul 2021
To celebrate my 50th birthday I was lucky enough to experience a magical event at Stonehenge, I enjoyed a VIP stone circle experience! Wow, what an experience! I visited the stones often many years ago and was lucky enough to stand there before it was cordoned off. Today brought back so many happy memories of my childhood, it really made my birthday celebrations amazing. Well done to all the staff for their expertise is running this amazing site. Special thanks to Rachel, Clive, Paul and Roy on the buses! Thank you so much you made my birthday celebrations complete.

Still stunning even after many visits
Jun 2021
We have visited the monument many times but not in the last few years. Access is now from and excellent visitor centre a short journey on foot or by bus from the monument. The displays explaining the history of the site are informative, high tech and very entertaining. The facilities are good. The reconstructed Neolithic structures are very good.
We took the free shuttle bus to the monument - after many visits in the past your first view is very evocative - Wow!.
The pathway round is well laid out.
A must-see site in the area.

Jun 2021 • Friends
This is a beautiful place to visit the visitor centre has a good exhibition hall before you take a bus to the Stonehenge site it only takes 5 minutes on bus or you could walk but that might take some time. Guides were all very helpful and knowledgeable.

Stonehenge Stone Circle Experience
Jul 2021 • Family
Just got back from the 8pm stone circle experience and wanted to give Josh and Cecilia a shout out.

Josh was charismatic, passionate and extremely knowledgable. He was effusive with information beyond what’s found in guide books, even showing us his own stunning photographs. Josh brought the experience to life and was thoroughly engaging. Cecilia was also brilliant, answering our questions with consideration and enthusiasm. You can tell how much both enjoy their job.

All in all 10/10.

STONE CIRCLE VIP EXPERIENCE
Jul 2021 • Family
Stone Circle experience. Absolutely brilliant, went to the visitors centre earlier in the day and then returned for the 8 to 9 pm slot. The English heritage guides Josh and Cecillia were so personable and knowledgeable. It was fantastic to be up so close to the stones.

Stonehenge by bus/train
Jul 2021
Info on train/bus: there is only one bus going from Salisbury train station (which stops in town centre as well) to Stonehenge. It costs £15 round trip per person. Be warned that it departs hoursly on the hour until 4:00 PM (even in the summer which should be high season), and the air conditioning is very weak. We checked Uber which would have been about £23 one way. On the return, it departs from Stonehenge at 43 min past the hour, I believ the last one is 4:43 PM. The bus ride takes 31-33 min.

Underwhelming by far
Jul 2021 • Couples
Went for part of the wife's birthday so bought the day ticker with photo.....
The visitor centre was ok, the bus ride saved us a fair old walk.
The Stones themselves are Stones at the end of the day and will be there tomorrow.
Including a bit of seriously overpriced lunch, a "VIP" superimposed photo, a couple of fridge magnets I done the best side of £100.....
But as they say...."Happy Wife, happy life".
Doubt we will return though

Stonehenge was lovely, VIP photo a rip off and food needs covering in cafe due to flies on cakes
Jul 2021 • Couples
I bought a discount entry ticket via the M&S Sparks card and they then offered a VIP photo which suggested it was at the stones. That was a rip off and is a superimposed image of us on top. No perspective and really naff. I would not suggest you do, or pay for that. The cafe is also overpriced and there were bluebottles on the food at the counter, this should be covered and was unacceptable and unhygienic. The rest of the cafe was nice, the shuttle bus was handy as it was exceptional heat so we couldn’t walk. The exhibition museum was nice. Finally, the stones were impressive and beautiful and I’m happy I saw them.

Thank you for sharing feedback on your experience. It sounds like you enjoyed most of your visit but there were a few areas where you felt we fell short of your expectations. The Magic Memories photographs are a new product at Stonehenge. For just £2 you get 8 digital photos with your image superimposed into scenes you would otherwise not experience, such as Stonehenge by night or in the snow. We think these are a fun way to remember your visit to Stonehenge and are proving popular with our visitors but we understand they may not be to everyone’s taste. Thank you for your observations in relation to the food counter at the café. We want to assure you that we take food hygiene very seriously and your comments have been shared with the catering team. We have a 5 star EHO rating and as a result appreciate any feedback that can help us to continually improve our service.

Try the stone circle experience
Jun 2021 • Couples
I would certainly recommend paying for the stone circle experience, being able to stand inside the circle gives a greater appreciation of the stones & how they came to be at Stonehenge. The host was extremely informative & very knowledgeable
