Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our second visit- but first since revamp. Information centre was great. Excellent accessibility. I could even take the shuttle bus with my wheelchair right up to the stones. Very busy naturally - a tourist hotspot, but you just need to wait for your photo opportunities. Very helpful staff.

I had low expectations for Stonehenge due to some negative reviews and people saying it would be boring if you don't care about the history. We booked an 8am stone circle experience and went inside the stones with a group of about 15-20 people. It was fantastic. The guide was incredibly informative and it was breathtaking to see the stones. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The cafe, gift shop, and museum are also nice. We ended up spending much longer than I thought.

I suppose coming to see the Stonehenge for yourself is akin to going to a concert to see your favourite singer sing. Fascinating is what I would say.

But what is probably more fascinating is that you can get great photographic shots around the circle. The stones look especially mystical when taken with the sun in the sky behind them.

I had always wanted to go to stone henge and it did not disappoint at all. You can really feel the history and the information boards do not disappoint with their facts. The tour guide inside the centre was amazing and knew so much. Very patient with youngsters and people with questions like me!! Even the staff in the gift shop were lovely and friendly. Fantastic day out.
Save money and join English heritage is my main tip for this one.

The explanation of inner circle blue stones that were magical makes sense. Faith in something, wow. This is spectacular.

As we had never been we decided it was a must. Do book your slot as it does get busy the earlier in the day the less people, we went for 10.30.. Not cheap but as National Trust members free. We walked from the visitors building, took 30 minutes but there is a shuttle bus.
We downloaded the audio tour at the centre and listened to it as we walked round and found it very informative. The stones are magnificent and the audio helped you understand the purpose and the surrounding land. Lucky it was a dry day, no facilities up at the stones and a long way back. The coffee shop was packed so we didn't use it and when we left at 1 the roads/ carpark was so busy

A beautiful day was had by our party here. This is an amazing site to see in person, pictures don't do it justice. The system to get to the site is well organized with the busses that are provided or you can walk. Allow extra time because it gets very crowded. A nice gift shop is on site.

This place to visit was on our list for a while and we finally got around to going.

We were not disappointed.

The site is very well organised with a set up to make the flow of visitors as smooth as possible.

The only disappointing aspect was that the 'cafe' ran out of pasties with an hours wait for more and the tables inside were not cleaned and wiped once vacant making it look scruffy and putting people off.

Thanks very much for your feedback. It's great to hear that after a long-awaited visit to Stonehenge you were not disappointed overall, but we're sorry to learn about your experience in the café. We aim to uphold a high level of cleanliness across the site so I'll pick this up with our Food and Beverage Manager to make sure the tables are cleaned promptly after visitors leave and food items are well stocked.

I travelled from London to Salisbury Station; there was a Green bus which takes you to Stonehenge in around half an hour. (It works out cheaper to buy a bus ticket plus admission, rather than buying admission separately at Stonehenge).

Once on site, it is around a 15 minute a walk to the Stones or you can choose to take a shuttle bus which is included in the ticket.
