Well worth a stop over on the way to Yuanyang from Kunming. It's a lovely little town with plenty of charm.

This old city worth the turn as it's a real testimony of Yunnan history. Look around the architecture. You will also find a lot of small shops.Difficult to find someone able to speak english, there ,so be carefull in restaurant as the food is mainly spicy.

The nice area of the city to stroll around. The pagoda offer a nice photography exhibition (20 RMB per person) and great views of the area.

As China old towns are, this is one to visit. I really like there. People were very helpful even so I do not speak Chinese. They use their smart phone translation app to help.
