We love this area! We stay in hotels in the area and love to shop, eat and go to the movie theater. This our fourth time staying in the area and we will be back!

Pittsburgh was a surprisingly interesting and exciting place to visit. It's eclectic architecture mixes old industrial buildings with modern ones. The art scene is very active and also hosts a variety of restaurants. The Waterfront district had me with the preserved chimneys and the water plant. I will definitely go back!

The endless traffic detours, unmarked closed streets and roads that have different names than google map directions make it really hard to get to. Spent more time driving around saying, it's over there, I can see it, now, how do I get there? Chain restaurants & shops, nothing unique. Disappointed more by the hours spent in traffic.

The waterfront at Homestead was supposed to be a wonderful investment into a depressed area with shopping and other things to do for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately when you look around at the stores that remain there is so little there that it is rather depressing. Stores seem to come in and close up shop rather rapidly. The ones that... More

They have done a really nice job of creating this little village of a shopping area and upscale restaurants next to the Monongahela River Waterfront. With a couple of motels next to the shopping area it makes a nice place to stay while visiting the Pittsburgh area.

If you're staying at a nearby hotel, it's a good way to kill some time. There are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants, plus a theater, the Improv, and bike rentals, all within walking distance of several hotels. The area is also nicer than some other parts of Pittsburgh.

First time I have been in Homestead in 30 years. It is amazing how this area has been cleaned up. Old rusty decaying mills are now a modern Shopping Complex. They even left some parts up like chimneys and old mill artifacts to add to the experience and history of the area. I am amazed. Bike trails, hotels, restaurants plus... More

This is an open air mall. The is a lot to do for all ages. The bike trail is fun to walk, but there is bike rental.
