Too much $$$ for a miserable experience. Disappointed 😢😢😢
Dec 2021 • Family
Went for Christmas Candyland. First off, the park was beautiful. They put a lot of work into lights and decorating. After much debate, we spent $40+ per ticket for the 4 hours they are open Friday night. Not a whole lot of rides we open, probably well below 50% of the park. But the lines were short for the ones that were open. They advertise that admission too ZooAmerica is included with park passes. We went to do that Saturday am as the park doesn’t open until 2. Arriving at the zoo we are notified that the offer is only available when entering via the park during normal park hours! The park opens at 2, and the zoo closes at 430. Who would pay $40+ for park tickets, and then spend the precious park time at the zoo??? We were extremely annoyed by this. We went back for the Saturday hours. The park was absolutely packed. Every open ride had a long line, the more popular ones being 2+ hours. Food lines were at least 30 minutes (Chick-Fil-A) was much longer. We stayed for a few hours, everyone was miserable and disappointed, and we left. Many other families seemed to feel the same. We didn’t seem a ton of smiling faces. If we go back it would be during the week, even during abbreviated hours. But it will be a long time before we consider going back.

Christmas Candylane
Dec 2021 • Family
Not what it used to be; insane prices for VERY few rides operating. Not sure if it’s a staffing issue or what, but if so, prices should be adjusted accordingly.

Candylane Surprise
Dec 2021
Christmas Candylane is not what it used to be. Oversold tickets to the masses without regard to customer service. Wait times 60 minutes to 90 minutes on all “bigger amusements”, so be prepared to stand in line or pay extra for their “jump-the-line passes. Wait times for food is just as long. Wish the park could have opened earlier; saw many sleeping toddlers at 5PM. Chalk it up to 2020 limited activities? Going to be a while before we return, if ever. Maybe shortage of workers but don’t oversell tickets. Milton would be disappointed.

Insane Lines, most rides closed.
Nov 2021
We went for the Hershey Park Christmas, went on Saturday after Thanksgiving, with the hope to have a great family day with our teenager and early 20's daughters. It was about 40 degrees, no roller coasters were open, but one, the Super Dooper Looper, "due to the cold" and that one had a 3 hour wait - most of the older age rides were closed, and the younger aged rides had insane wait times. Just mobs of people waiting in insane lines for the few rides that were open, even the line to see the Reindeer was over an hour plus. The free tour of Hershey world was a 45 minute wait, and was just a fake rendition of the real chocolate factory. At 2:00 pm when the park opened, it took 45 minutes just to get in. How in the world Hershey park justified the prices is beyond me. We then did the Hershey Sweet Lights - another 35.00 cost to wait in a car line for 30-45 minutes for a 20 minute ride through some lights, which while cool, had a tough time justifying time and money for it. Might have just been the day we chose, but if looking for the weekend after Thanksgiving, stay away and look for another one

Christmas Light Review
Nov 2021
Never having been to Hershey before, I was very disappointed in the lack of knowing where anything really was. Also, a path along the water you could see had been decorated, but the lights were off and the path was closed. Having been to Busch Gardens in VA, this light display was disappointing. And the lines, everywhere... WOW. Was excited they had a Tilt a Whirl

Melted chocolate.

Very disappointed in the Christmas tradition this year. The hotels are oversold, and the park is barely open. The lights are not nearly what they used to be, they reduced hours have massive crowds everywhere, half of the rides are not working, it was definitely not worth the trip out here this year. Skip it and try coming again in the summer when things are fully open

I spent $400 for 6 tickets and parking another 30 for drink cups and refills. Got there at 3 after waiting an hour stuck in traffic before getting on 322. 45. minutes trying to get in the parking lot. Once in the park we rode the carorsel 29 minutes for that line. Went to get cups for drinks 25 minutes for that. Went to monorail 40 minutes for that. Could only fill hot chocolate mug at certain places lines so long gave up.Bigger kids went to Laugh Track spent 2 hours in line for that then went they finally got to the building was told it was another hour. Park is so dark people running in to stoller. Stood in line an hour to walk though to let the 3 year old see the reindeer. The zoo closed at 4:30 so could not go there. By this time baby was cold told the bigger kids would see them at Chocolate World lines long in there and the bakery and a lot of the food places closed. Lines to checkout anything in the store were at least 20 minutes long. The attraction closes at 7 this is at 6:30. The bigger kids finally meet up with us but still didn't get to ride Laugh Track. So in all I spent $400 to ride 3 rides The worst part was I am 70 years old and don't ride Rides. TOTAL RIP-OFF. On way out went to customer service to say something to them was told they would give me a voucher for next year. Fat chance on that happening

Price Gouging Ruins a Family Tradition
Nov 2021
Going to Christmas Candylane has been a family tradition for over 25 years, but sadly corporate holiday greed may make this year the last. When we first started coming here during the holidays it was free to walk through and look at the lights. You paid for your child to ride the kiddie rides, which were really all that was running. They then added a reasonable admission price of under $20 and opened up a few of the bigger rides, which honestly are not too fun when it's below 40 degrees out. This year I went to get our tickets from the dutch county boy scouts like I always do and was informed they were denied their yearly fundraiser by Hershey. I proceeded to Hershey's online site to get my tickets and was astonished to find they were $45 (on sale from $76). So basically they now charge regular summertime admission to go to a park that only has a quarter of the rides running. No way the park is worth that in the middle of the winter in freezing temps that make rides miserable. So comes an end to a great family tradition.

Never Again!
Sep 2021
This comment is specific to their customer service and pricing. My family of five came this past summer and stayed at the HP Campground. We bought a two day pass for all of us at the park. Never again! They closed the park on the second day due to weather and the only thing they could do was give us until January 2, 2022 to return. We do not live in the country. This was a very special trip for the family and we spent way too much money. Hershey Park and the campground really took advantage and is doing nothing to help due to the circumstances. The customer service woman even had the nerve to say they didn't close according to her calendar and they are rain or shine. Clearly not! They will take your money, but don't expect anything in return if something doesn't go according to plan. We will not be back!

Candylane 2021. Very cold evening and windy but part done right. Many rides closed due to cold but the staff are always with a smile and Gerry in Security is absolute GEM for the park.
