The building is stunning and the various art works are well displayed. We especially liked some of the indoor and outside sculpture and the furniture. Bright and light buildings and the ideal setting for the collection.

Very impressive painting by local artists from past 150 years. The woodworking pieces were what I enjoyed the best.

This museum had great history about PA artists, I enjoyed my visit and learned a lot more about the Wyeth family.

This is a great little museum and if you happen to be free on the Smithsonian affiliate day in which all affiliate museums of the Smithsonian (which Michener is part of) - it's a spectacular bargain. I make sure I go there every year in...More

This was a nice find. We say the Henriette Wyeth exhibit, and while I grew up saturated with the work of N.C., Andy, and Jamie, it was fascinating to see a whole other dimension of the family. The works were very well organized and displayed...More

The building itself is admirable, and the exhibits are nicely laid out. I went to enjoy the impressionist landscape paintings of Bucks county by notable artists in their permanent collection, and I did. Enjoyed the current exhibits, as well, including that of Henriette Wyeth and...More

This is a former prison. And not just named for James A. Michener. Because he was a Doylestown native, he funded the creation, along with many others. Fantastic collection. And all right across the street from the iconic Mercer Museum in a concrete castle.
