Wonderful museum to view the Wyeth family art collection. Toured NC Wyeth's home & studio. Grounds and Gardens are peacefully beautiful.

I love Wyeths so I thought this museum was great. Multiple galleries with different exhibits was great. They also offer tours of N.C. and Andrew's individual studios - fun if you enjoy their works. AAA discount for tour tickets also. Well worth a visit.

Small, intimate art museum- a true treasure in this area. Whether you are a fan of the Wyeth art or not- it is a wonderful perspective of family art carried through generations. I live within 3 miles, and always learn something inspiring with each visit.

I went to see Homer to Hopper exhibit, there were only 2 hoppers, but what an amazing museum, I thought the art the rest of the museum had was amazing. I never really was impressed with Andrew Wyeth, thought his stuff was grey, and it...More

The Brandywine River Museum is a small museum, but the collection is great. There is a large collection of all of the Wyeths (whose residence is nearby), and several excellent galleries of American landscapes. Just as good is the atrium, with unbeatable views of the...More

The building itself, in the Brandywine, is a work of American art. The exhibit, focusing on the Wyeth family, places them within the context of American art.

We were big Andrew Wyeth fans before this museum came to be but as we visit over and over we have come to appreciate his father NC Wyeth and NC's mentor Pyle. This is a beautifully restored mill along the Delaware River and we always...More

For me, the illustrations of the Wyeth patriarch: N. C. Wyeth are the highlights of the museum. We saw 6 of his classic illustrations for Treasure Island. That experience made my day. We also did the fascinating tour of N. C. Wyeth's house and separate...More

We had not been here for 25 years, and the experience was even better than we remembered. Of course the art was exceptional and displayed very well. But the personnel made the experience memorable. They now have tours of Andrew Wyeth's studio which was very...More

Great layout. If you go Sunday, it's free. Paintings by N.C., Andrew, Jamie and Catherine Wyeth. Also exhibits by others in the American field like Hopper and Eikans. Wonderful bookstore where you can buy the classics that NC illustrated.

Does the Barn museum in Philadelphia have different works of art by A Wayeth than the Brandywine River Museum of Art?

Have not been to Barnes museum in Philadelphia, but Wyeth works are likely different except maybe when Brandywine museum loans out works from its permanent collection.
Hello, I have a water color painting that is supposedly signed by Andrew Wyeth. How can I tell if it's an original piece of art? If I brought it to your museum would someone be there to tell me about it? I live near Williamspirt, PA and it would be quite a trip but I'm willing to make it if you think that's the best way to assess the painting. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you. Sincerely, Christina Wolfe
