I love Wyeths so I thought this museum was great. Multiple galleries with different exhibits was great. They also offer tours of N.C. and Andrew's individual studios - fun if you enjoy their works. AAA discount for tour tickets also. Well worth a visit.
Small, intimate art museum- a true treasure in this area. Whether you are a fan of the Wyeth art or not- it is a wonderful perspective of family art carried through generations. I live within 3 miles, and always learn something inspiring with each visit.
I went to see Homer to Hopper exhibit, there were only 2 hoppers, but what an amazing museum, I thought the art the rest of the museum had was amazing. I never really was impressed with Andrew Wyeth, thought his stuff was grey, and it...More
The Brandywine River Museum is a small museum, but the collection is great. There is a large collection of all of the Wyeths (whose residence is nearby), and several excellent galleries of American landscapes. Just as good is the atrium, with unbeatable views of the...More

Great layout. If you go Sunday, it's free. Paintings by N.C., Andrew, Jamie and Catherine Wyeth. Also exhibits by others in the American field like Hopper and Eikans. Wonderful bookstore where you can buy the classics that NC illustrated.
