It is a very nice, relaxing place to visit, picnic, go for a relaxing walk, watch the birds on the lake, or just bring your children and throw a Frisbee around. Not crowded like other parks.

You will need a car to get there! If you are doing the walking tour of Berwick this is well beyond all the houses on the tour. However, once you get there you will have your choice of parking spots. This is a long thin lake so if one end is crowded keep going until you find a spot where... More

Walk along and discover nature at its finest. Very relaxing. Or can do a more fast paced walk for cardio exercise. Picnic area. Great for family or singles.

The grounds at The Riverlands are well maintained by the staff. It has three (3) covered pavilons with electricity and two (2) modern / clean restrooms. There is a playgr.ound area for children. There are many picnic tables and charcoal grilles on the grounds which iare convenient for impromptu picnics. The fishing in Lake Took-A-While is excellent with bass, crappie,... More

Easy walking path next to a man-made lake. You can also walk through the forest and along the Susquehanna river. There are 30 minute and 60 minute trails. There are well kept picnic tables and pavilions, also a playground area. The only downside is that since Talon took over the park from pp&l, the handicap accessible, clean, flush bathrooms have... The grounds are so well taken care of,plus the spotless restrooms. No place better than to take a day or evening stroll. To capture the flight of an egret,or the lining of turtles on a limb along the waters edge as if they to are capturing the rays of the warming sun, only when too hot to drop into the cool waters. To watch... I love going here and just walking the trails. You learn about the planets also as the trail is marked with info about them. Also the playground is a nice place for kids to play. The pavilion is large and has outlets for use also. Greatly maintained and conveniently located.

This is a lovely place to walk around. There are no hills to climb, which is difficult to find in this part of Pennsylvania. We always see some type of wildlife while we are here. There are informative markers along the trails to tell you what you are looking at. Best of all, it is free!
