Just outside of Yachts going south the Devils Churn, is well marked but on a very windy 101, so go gently and watch out. The carpark is adequate of approximately 15 cars. The walk down to the view point and beach is scenic and safe but the return journey could be tiring. However there are plenty of "viewing points" to... More

Another scenic spot in this area but the waves weren't high enough to crash against the rocks but still so much beauty. Did the restless waters hike.

We walked around looking for it not knowing what to expect. I'd recommend a stormy weekend for a good show but it's a huge rock old cave that caved in and you can see the ocean threw it. Glad I saw it but thorns well blows this out of the water.

This is worth the stop! It is so amazing to see the power of the ocean. If your driving through Yachats, you have to stop and see this beauty!

Pretty area to stop as you explore the coast. At low tide there is plenty of tide pools and rocks to explore along the oceanfront. On high tide the water gets pretty rough but makes for more dramatic churning and sounds in Devil's Churn. Bathrooms and a park information booth located at this stop. They ask for a $5 daily... Best to come when the tide is higher for a better show but even when not peak, this place is awesome. Fun to explore and watch the ocean meet the land with all it's might. Steep but pretty manageable trail to the rocks where they meet the ocean. Small parking fee is to be paid and they do have a... More

We hiked down to Devil's Churn on our trip down the Oregon coast. The hike is relatively easy. Be careful on the slippery rocks once you get down there. The ocean is magnificent.

Like watching a giant washing machine as the ocean rolls and churns. This is a unique location to watch the brutal power of the ocean in relative safety. Just remember that the wave pattern is not predictable and stay safe.

Watching the water go into a deep and weathered crack in the coastline cliff was hypnotic and exciting at the same time. The steps and trail to get down close to the churn is steep and a bit slippery, but a short walk. Easy parking and nice loop trail. Good for a short visit before exploring longer trails around the...
