We did a mini covered bridge driving tour. This bridge was on our list. After seeing 3-4 White Covered bridges that all basically looked the same, just in a different setting, the OFFICE BRIDGE was quite a treat! The bridge has a walking lane, so you can walk across and drive across. If very interesting and pretty bridge. I'd advise... More

My husband and I stayed in Eugene/Springfield the night before our day trip to Crater Lake National Park. The quickest way to Crater Lake (from the North) is taking Oregon Route/Hwy 58 and the Office Covered Bridge is just 2.2 miles off Hwy 58. To get to the bridge from I-5 (at Eugene), take 58 East bound for about 32... More

Having stumbled upon Lowell Covered Bridge earlier in the week, we just had to ride over and find Office when we saw the signs. Unlike Lowell, this one is further off the beaten path and not really on the way to or from anywhere you might be going. It is, however, quite lovely and worth the short ride over to... More

I'm going back to Oregon to do a Covered Bridge discovery trip, after recently stumbling across this bridge (and another at Lowell) on a recent trip from Eugene to Crater Lake on Highway 58. What a wonderful site to come around the corner and see. And it's still in use, a car drove over while I was taking the photo!... More

Office Covered Bridge is an interesting bridge to visit. It is located in the community of West Fir which is not far from Oakridge. The bridge has an interesting history. The Office was on the south side of the river and the lumber company was on the north side. The bridge was built so log trucks could cross the river... More

Staying in Oakridge overnight & read of this famous covered bridge. Beautifully preserved & were very impressed with the immaculate restrooms at this rest area. Helpful maps & information of sites along the way. Great lawns & picnic tables. It's obvious Westfir is proud of it's heritage.

If you are into covered bridges than I guess this is worth a stop. They have a nice parking and restroom facility here. You can drive or walk over the bridge. We parked here and then went on a nice hike along the river. It is a very easy hike, we went about 1.5 hours and then had to turn... More

At the bridge there is a great map that highlights a majority of the areas mountain biking trails. It is a trailhead for many of the local trails. Walking distance to a nice place to eat.
