We usually play Thistle, but there are 27 holes @ The Resort. Probably best to phone for a Tee Time (we always do), but we've never had a problem getting a twosome on at the approximate time we request (weekdays, busier on weekends). Anyway, the mountain setting for golf is spectacular and the 3 9-hole layouts are in great condition, fun to play and challenging enough to test your game. The greens and green complexes (with sand-traps) are especially true and well cared for. The ball rolls nicely with medium speed. A parkland style property with big cedars, firs and native plant under-stories framing the fairways...good hiking, if you walk and carry! The Resort at The Mountain offers excellent lodging and restaurant choices...it is a great place...quiet, calm, beautiful... to stay and play.

All 3 courses have their challenges - Pine Cone is my favorite! Fox Glove is definitely the most challenging. All 3 are great for walking, you don't need a cart.

Played a round of golf with a cart. Agree with the previous reviewer that the course is very bumpy and you can hurt yourself against the steering wheel if you drive at a reasonable speed. The rental clubs not ideal but playable. I had Two four irons in my bag and no pitching wedge. The most frustrating issue was the sprinkler was going on even when I was on the fairway. I had to run to the ball and hit in a hurry. I was told that this was due to the automatic sprinkler system. The best thing was the beautiful scenery.

First off what course closes their pro shop at 4pm. Second...grass in horrible shape. Thistles, clover and dandelions all over the place. This course could be much better. Lots of good features but the up keep is atrocious. Additionally....the staff member working in the pro shop the day we played shouldn't be there. Simply put...he wouldn't give us a cart after out first nine on the turn as he said that it was too late and the back boys wouldn't want to stay that long. Total crap in our mind for two reasons. 1st we were offered a cart at the start of our 18 and we said we would see after 9. 2nd. There were 2 groups behind us with carts. Place is a joke.

This is a beautiful course but is so bumpy and hokey because of moles. I almost flipped the golf cart today riding over the fairway!
