Jump off the PCH for a bit and drive the Cape Meares loop. There are many sights within a very short distance but the lighthouse and wildlife refuge is tops.

With just a short walk downhill to the Lighthouse, you are treated to a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and the North Oregon Coast. But docents at the Lighthouse make this walk even more fun and informative. They can explain the Fresnel lens, the...More

If you like lighthouses this is a must see. You should check the times to see if they are open. This would have been a 5 if it had been open. We saw whales down by the lighthouse and that was exciting. My teen and...More

We are on the light house tour down the coast and this was a neat stop! Small but worth the stop. Gorgeous views from the surrounding are and several nice areas for hikes.

The lighthouse itself was interesting - and worth waiting for a tour if you are in the area. The octopus tree was very interesting and was worth the short hike. Finally, the views from the cape are stunning.

A neat little lighthouse. Great views of the ocean. A nice forest preserve that holds the Octopus Tree - a strange, twisted tree that can't be explained. Worth a stop for many reasons.

This is a nice small lighthouse! If you like lighthouses, this is an awesome stop! We loved it! The view of the ocean is beautiful near the lighthouse! The restrooms were nice too! I would recommend stopping at this little lighthouse!

One of the must see lighthouses along the Oregon coast. You need to walk 0.2 miles to the lighthouse, it is an incline back to the parking lot but well worth the walk if you are able.

I'm not sure what times the area opens and closes. In the Winter months I would assume that it would be during daylight hours, probably 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. My wife and I went to Shore Acres State Park last weekend in the... More
