Enjoy the history and beauty of this building with stair cases and old fashion elevators made to last.

The most unique space in town. numerous shops and restaurants in an older building, three floors of shopping. Sidewalk window shopping, interesting shops, ethnic restaurants, weird and unique Salem only local handcrafted, antiques, soaps, Mediterranean, Mexican, hats, art, all manner of shops for gifts and holidays in a great refurbished downtown location. Its been around a long time, at least... More

I attended a wedding at the Reed Opera House Ballroom. It was beautiful and very comfortable. When it got dark, there were lights around the windows, showing off the arch at the top of the window. Beautiful. The elevator took a little time to go up and down, but it wasn't a problem.

Nothing against the retailers in this building as they are doing the best they can - same with the building owner. The reality is this building was hacked up in the 1970's to make it into a mall before malls were the thing. In the 1980's when malls did become a thing and sprang up all over, this became a... The Reed Opera House is interesting enough for an old-fashioned building in downtown Salem, Oregon to meander through and shop in when you've got plenty of time on your hands. Lots of little curio shops and a nice restaurant or two. The Italian bakery and soap shop are my favorites to visit, but they have several fine, speciality shops there... More

The all over feel of this place makes you feel that so much time has passed and it's such a wonderful piece of history. It's been around since 1870. The unique shops and places to dine will prove to be a wonderful part of your day. You must see all this place has to offer.

We enjoyed our visit to this historic building in Salem which now houses small shops, barbershops, boutiques and a wonderful Italian bakery where we bought some cannoli, biscotti and other pastries. It was interesting to read the history of the building. It is so nice that Salem is preserving its old buildings and history.

I love this old building, so unique. The multi level building is like a maze of history. Variety of local shops and goods that makes this a fun stop.

Both the outside and inside of this old building is very interesting to look at, but there are not many shops inside the mall. There are some plaques up that tell about the history of the building that are very interesting to read. So, if you just want to check out the building, many sure you go, but don't expect... More
