Average at best, for us. Lots of potential. Outdoor area with cornhole and tables. Indoor was dark. You order at bar then sit down. Food wasn't bad at all, but nothing special. Beer was not that good, but we are beer snobs. They have drains inside that the grates don't fit well. We watched a few people stumble over them …

... which pretty much describes the food and beer here. I suspect the issue with Backside is the lack of consistency, I have friends that say it’s a good place for beer and food and other friends that say the opposite. When i finally visited I was not all that impressed, but I could see the potential for a decent place to frequent. But first, I will say the beer recipe needs some rework ... and no I can’t quite put my finger on why I didn’t care for their beer.…

We came here because of the Record Sale, but ended up staying for dinner. My kids loved the outdoor games, as well as some indoor games when it started to rain. Friendly service and great beer and pizza!

Pizza’s crust was underdone, needed 1-2 more minutes and rotated during the bake. There was not enough attention to detail during the bake with at least 3 different people operating the oven. The beer was outstanding!

I’ve been here several times. They host outdoor games in the summer. The fire baked pizza is amazing. I’ve tried several different beers. Not a fan of IPAs but love the stouts and blondes. Nice place to kick back.
