Very good, yet out of the ordinary wines. Non pretentious, working winery. Our hostess was very well versed in the wines and we enjoyed her expertise. Loved Le Pig.

I was wine tasting with my Son in Law who is from Germany. He was so thrilled to find a non sweet real Riesling at Hillcrest. If you could have seen his face when he tasted his Riesling. The girl in the tasting room was so knowledgeable. I really learning a lot about wines.

Thank you for your kind review Donna. We are known locally not only for the quality of our wines, but the most educational guided tasting. Over the last 40 years we have made wine and worked in the wine industry in over 17 countries and we bring these stories to our tasting room everyday. From big and bold reds to the most elegant old world style whites and reds we usually pour 8-9 wines to reveal this. Thank you again and Prosst as the Germans say!

Our group of 8 stopped in at HillCrest for tasting, we like many of their wines and this visit was no exception. We asked for a tour and were given a brief one. The employee put up with all our questions and even took a couple of group photos for us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here at our family's winery. It sounds like you have been before and we are appreciative that you have returned with so many beautiful wines and wineries produced here in the Umpqua Valley. It is our goal to produce the most natural, artisan wines possible. From Dry farmed, hillside, old vines to our patented concrete fermentors and European 1300 gallon oak tanks we reach back in time to use the best of the old world where we have over 40 years of winemaking under our belt. These handcrafted wines are not sold in stores. Oregon's oldest estate winery and the birthplace of Pinot Noir and the PNW only winery that is a state historical site. To the Genie in the bottle.

Oldest winery in Oregon. My daughter and I were visiting from Minnesota. Of the three wineries we visited it provided the most variety of flights. Jennifer was so friendly and felt like an old friend. I did have some wine shipped back to Minnesota and it was here within a week.
