This museum, visible from the I-5, occupies a striking modern building reminiscent of both the first homes of pioneers and the somber mountains around Rouseburg. Inside, you will find amazing artifacts: Native American beaded buck skin clothing, arrows and guns, and even a door still bearing bullet scars. You will get acquainted with the history of the county, and also about the wild life in the area. The crown jewel - a fully restored wagon... In the courtyard see the lumber truck from 1951... We were so surprised by the extent of entries in this museum, everything from animals, people, fossils, and automobiles to an original train station is included in this small, but thorough museum. As an extended family of all ages, we all enjoyed ourselves. We became members, so will return again and again.…

You know how you never explore interesting places in your own hometown? We finally took the time to see the museum. What a nice variety: farm equipment, wildlife original to this area, hands on projects for children and photos that tell the history of Douglas County and more. It was easy to get around and the items were displayed in a tasteful, comprehensive manner.…
