Was not expecting this much from a small town museum! There collections are from the local area and include mammoth bones, native american artifacts, logger equipment and artifacts. A lot of history from this area and town. Worth the stop!

While visiting family we decided to check out the museum. It was put together well and had quite a few interesting displays. A few displays are outdoors but even in rain they can be viewed.

My 10 year old granddaughter loves to visit the museum. We go several times a year. Several evenings during the summer they have outdoor family movies. They have hands on activities for everyone.

this delightful museum is on two floors and also outside exhibits. it covers the Douglas County history which is really similar to many areas in Oregon - logging, mining, wineries, etc. the exhibits are interactive and interesting for adults, too.

Please allow about 2 hours for this museum. Fun natural history dioramas. My favorite was the history part of the museum. Very fascinating about the pioneers coming up the Applegate Trail. Also good to learn about the Native Americans in the area.

For a small town (21,000) Roseburg has one of the nicest museums I've seen. Constantly rotating displays keep things fresh and relevant, and I love the old "turn-of-the-century" photos.
