Always love this hike along the river
Jul 2020
We were able to take this hike in early July when the Washington Lilies were starting to bloom. Their fragrance was heavy in the air. They should last until the end of the month. We hiked here in May and numerous trees were down across the trail then. Only the first half of the trail has been cleared this time.
8 cars were parked at the trailhead, but it was no problem keeping our physical distance on the 1.5 mile trail.

June is wildflower month here

Lots of wildflowers blooming along the hiking trail. In addition to the climax at Lemolo Falls, there are a number of small falls on the North Umpqua River as you hike down the trail.

So if you love fishing and your significant other doesn't, take them here! You have access to some of the best fishing in the world. From high lake Brown trout to Salmon and steelhead on the North Umpqua.Fly angling only some spots higher up if you enjoy that. But tell your other to go to the falls lol! Have a wonderful day

Lemolo Falls wildflower hike
Jun 2018 • Couples
We hiked into the Falls 1-1/2 miles on the North Umpqua Trail. You have to go 100 yards past the top of the falls in order to see the falls. Lots of wildflowers are out: columbine, windflowers, queens cup, rhododendrons, candy stripe plant, coral root, bunchberry, twisted stalk, false solomon's seal. The Washington lilies are a week away from blooming. This is a beautiful trail which follows the North Umpqua River and its many small waterfalls.
