The park was open but the Deschutes River was high and most of the surrounding trails were flooded or impassible. We'll try again as the weather improves.

For a state park it was much smaller than anticipated however, that could be partially because the river was so high. The water was encroaching on the parking lot so in the summer there may be a lot more to it. The views were spectacular...More

This area has a small park good for family picnics on the Deschutes River, located a few miles west of Redmond. There is a walking path along the river. For older children and adults, a leisurely stream goes by good for rafting or inner-tubing.

Oh this park used to be wonderful. Hidden and serene, just off the highway. A perfect spot to hike around, splash around or float. While we still do all of those things I've noticed that the park itself has become dirtier. There is more trash...More

This is a great quiet reprieve off a busy road. The park has a trail along the river, a few picnic tables, and a large grassy area. My husband and I often go for walks along the river here. My favorite part is crossing under...More

I've been going here for years. It was better when there wasn't so many people. But times change. Use to take the kids swimming here and now you really can't get there. There is a white goose that is a must see. He will eat...More

A lovely small tree shaded spot on the banks of the Deschutes River. Picnic tables and placid pools suitable for toddlers to wade in. Following the path north along the banks takes one to the falls themselves . This is not where put little ones...More

This is a nice little pit stop. Fun catching crawdads and feeding the ducks. Great for picnicking but sometimes the bathrooms don't work.

Get there early. Speak with the campground host about additional tables.

You don't. It is about a three quarters of a mile downstream.
