Converted Neighborhood Elementary School in garden like setting that offers clean, quality and unusual accommodations. Relaxed in the wading pool - complete with water jets- upon arrival. Enjoyed McMenamins brew from on site brewery and wine from the same source. Menu is not extensive but...More

Each one of the McMenamins restaurants is unique in it's own way. The history of the places that these amazing brothers protect is mind boggling. The Kennedy School is no exception. The meeting rooms and offices are the original classrooms from the school, The Boiler...More

This place is awesome. It’s an old elementary school that has been repurposed into a Movie Theater, Restaurant, Bar (multiple bars actually) and hotel (certain rooms have the school's original chalkboards and cloakrooms, others have literature-inspired themes). And the theater is big, with numerous, comfy...More

A great visit--seeing new uses for this 99-year-old schoolhouse. There are meeting rooms, bars, a movie theater--even a brewery in the original boiler room--not to forget the restaurant. Photos and murals showing Kennedy School's beginning abound.

It's wonderful to see such a beautiful school saved from the wrecking ball and turned into such an eclectic fun space. Comfortable and quirky, we had a great visit. Wish we were staying longer.
