We spent a couple of hours here as we were looking for a place within walking distance of the MAX in the Mississippi transit stop area. What a pleasant surprise. This is an old heritage building that has been saved, and it has an eclectic style, with lots of brickwork, old black and white rock and roll photos, and clever... More

We stayed at the guest house for two night. Rooms are small and simple but rusticity charming. Toilet and shower shared for the day hole floor. Live music on the bar. Loud though. Bar is loud to about 1am and traffic/steers are loud.

Went there with friends for lunch. Wonderful patio seating area which is off the sidewalk. I ordered a "Cosmic Charlies" wrap which was delicious & huge. It was chicken, bacon with honey mustard dressing on romaine lettuce. Everything was crispy & fresh. The guys sandwiches didn't look bad either. The fries were very tasty. Service was good & not over-bearing.... More

Over an old bar. Loved the jukebox, recommend going out in the nearby street which is called Mississippi avenue, had a lot of nice breweries. The halls are Kind of creepy and spooky by night but still worth a nights visit.

We hit here as soon as we landed in Portland. The courtyard was really nice to hang out in and catch up with friends, with a nice cedar fire pit. Hummus plate was substantial. Had a good seasonal cherry cider on tap.

A good variety of food to choose from to please the masses. Enjoyed the outdoor seating with the firepits and heaters. Fun vibe, could be that it is supposedly haunted. Band was fun to listen to. Would definitely go back the next time I am in Portland.

We loved our evening at White Eagle Saloon. The venue itself is an old saloon, as the name suggests with many historical features intact. We had burgers for dinner, which were very reasonably priced during Burger Month. They tasted like homemade and had generous portions of cheese and bacon! McMenamin's Black and Tan brownie is my favorite and did not... More

It was a weeknight and we were only in town a couple days. We stopped here for a couple beers and heard a couple local bands. The bands weren't great but the location was pretty awesome. Tons of history and a really good vibe. Nice place to grab a few beers. Bartender was good too. Very personable and friendly.

One beautiful Saturday afternoon we stopped by this summer. We got to peer into a few of the cute rooms of the hotel while on our mission of stamping our Passports, and had a beverage on the patio to the side of the saloon. What a neat little place!

The White Eagle is a Holy Modal Rounders & Friends themed hotel and bar -- as a music venue it tends to feature Americana, folk, and similar acts. The sound system leaves a lot to be desired, but the ambiance is just great. We've held CD release parties here, post-Crystal Ballroom concert afterparties, and come for great musicians playing --...
