Cute little ducks, seals, and bears

The animals were much smaller than I thought you they would! However, they were very cute and you have to be in the right angle to get all of them in one picture.

So this reminds me of Fremont in Seattle. They truly brighten anyone's day. Are there Beavers in Beaverton and Tigers in Tigard (Sorry Mr. Tigard, just joking; he's 107.)

I strolled by the animals in pools the other day to discover that there was no water in the pools. Kinda made for an even stranger impression. Especial with all the wet weather we have had lately In Portland. So I couldn't resist to take a few photos. These are the animals left high and dry on the north side... More

Wandering around Portland aimlessly one afternoon, we ran into these pools. It's a cute idea that works in almost any major city. Nothing distinctive about this and certainly nothing to search out. If you run into them though, take a few pictures, enjoy, and likely forget them a few days later.

Several interesting and cute public statues to look at, but not much otherwise to do or see. Good for photos.

Cute animal statues in the fountains on both sides of the block. Nice little Portland moment, especially if you catch them just after a group has knit sweaters and scarves for them!

We saw these cuties as we were walking around the Pioneer Courthouse. These fun bronze representatives of local wildlife sure made a good photo op.

saw these around Pioneer square. I'm sure most people just walk by and don't even notice them. Local wildlife in bronze.

So there I am strolling down the street & I see a bear in a fountain! Yup, thought I had a little something extra in my coffe; glad to see others taking pix too. This city is weird but this is one reason why its in a good way.

Just walking around in downtown Portland you'll walk by several little man-made ponds with bronze animals that you find randomly. I saw the beavers (which is a Portland thing) and sea lions and thought they were super cool. Not something you see in other cities. Part of what makes Portland different than a lot of other American cities
