Posters here that mention a strenuous hike to the top are referring to Multnomah Falls. Posters mentioning Wahkeena Falls or the falls next to Multnomah Falls are NOT talking about WAHCLELLA FALLS. Wahclella Falls is a 2 mile hike (mile in, mile out) not a...More

Hike was not to strenuous, I brought my 11 year old along and she did fine. There are many runoffs from melting snow in the spring which create additional waterfalls along the trail. I went in late March when Wahclella Falls was raging water. Such...More

Be wary of the Falls walk in winter. We had read from the offical website that the walk (~2miles) is open all year round, but in wintry conditions in Jan17 it was pretty risky. My 17yo son made it there & back, but his old...More

A great little hike : ) The falls are gorgeous, and the pathways to and from are also beautiful. A small parking area, but luckily it wasn't crowded : )

I love Wahclella but there's one caution... there's a super steep section near the falls. It only lasts for a handful of meters but it's really steep.
