Half-Day Columbia River Gorge and Waterfall Hiking Tour

30 reviews
The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.

We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt.

We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! We had one adult who had never been on a horse, two teenagers with moderate riding experience, and another adult who had not ridden in many years. Stuart, and dog Boo Boo, were wonderful. We were matched with an appropriate horse and then taken on a lovely walk along rolling hills and through the trees and back around to the barn. This is a great family outing and would be a wonderful place for first time and young riders. Stuart also provides Equine Therapy for help with mental health issues. There is an indoor arena as well for rainy days.

We had such a wonderful time at the farm today. Despite the weather being rainy, they were more than welcome to accommodate our daughters who wanted to horseback ride. Stuart was very patient with them and taught them the basics before heading out. The goats, deer and adorable puppy made it a birthday she will not forget. Thank you!

So I went horse back riding at Corbett farm and wish I could go back as a regular! Unfortunately I live in California and was only visiting for a few days but I had soooo much fun out there and loved seeing all the other cool animals they have. Very well kept place. Would definitely recommend if you like nature or wanna kick back somewhere peaceful... this is the place to go!

It's a farm, with friendly animals of every farm type. Upon arrival we were greeted by both a cat and a dog. Boo-Boo the Jack Russel Terror escorted us to our accommodations. This farm features a number of places to spend the night we stayed in the converted horse stall. It was an experience like no other and we had a wonderful time.
