The maintenance of the ground for the Grotto is great. It is a nice walk around the chapel and the Stations of the Cross. However, they charge a fee to use their elevator to go up was absurd. We left.

We stumbled across The Grotto when looking for must-see things to do in Portland. The scenery is absolutely beautiful - tall trees with an overall peaceful atmosphere. We walked around, spent some time at the cathedral and explored the area.

Powerful and beautiful. It was getting ready for Christmas so we could not see everything but it was still way more interesting than we expected.

Been there many times as a resident of Portland or visiting now. This location can be used as a religious retreat or for Sunday or daily Mass for Catholics and a delightful garden with a city view for Anyone.
