We went as a family consisting of 2 parents (61 and 56 years old) and 2 grown up children (24 and 19 years old) while over here visiting family. We had not really got much of an idea of what to do and someone suggested the zoo, we are very glad they did! The day was mixed weather-wise but there... More

While Port Land is not an ideal place for a zoo, this is good for what it is. They have a wide variety of animal product on hand to view.

Had a great time with family enjoying the zoo lights. Make sure to arrive early to get parking and if you want train tickets. For indoor exhibits when the kiddos get cold, head to check out the elephants or the new young polar bear. The bat exhibit is always a hit, especially in the evening.

This zoo was easy to get to from downtown Portland on the Max Rail. Really big zoo. Went during winter so it seemed some animals weren't available. We went during the day so weren't able to see the light show but overall it was great and a must do if you are visiting Portland.

The Oregon Zoo, has many interesting exhibits, and a great education center. Families or couples will enjoy this Zoo. The Elephant exhibits are some of the best in North America.

We love going to the Oregon Zoo. It has great attractions and is easy to get to each exhibit. The new elephant facility is wonderful, as good as San Diego Zoo's facility. The elephants seem so happy. They are always making improvements to this zoo for the betterment of the animals that live there.

One thing I really appreciate about the Oregon Zoo is that most of habitats are built with the animals comfort in mind. And the zoo has so many wonderful activities such as zoo concerts, zoo lights, and zoo camps. If you love zoos then the Portland zoo is a great zoo to visit for people of all ages. I have... More

Excellent zoo and value. Elephant exhibits are impressive. Although we visited during winter months and much of the safari animals were kept elsewhere it was still entertaining and much to see. Large enough for animals to be in a more natura environment, but view set ups were great where you can actually see them.

We went (6 adults-10 kids) to see "Zoo Lights!" after Christmas, and it was cute as heck! The kids loved it, and even though it was a bit hokey, it was still pretty cool! We've been to the zoo several times, and next to San Diego, the Portland Zoo is about the best zoo I've seen!! Zoo Lights is just... More
