I don't even like flowers, and the garden was a revelation. Completely delightful, with acres and acres of amazing roses in hundreds of varieties. It's a little tricky to get here, but absolutely worth the effort.

Rain or shine, the views from this beautiful hill atop Portland is a must see place any time of year, but of course it is most fragrant and fascinating during the early summer as the roses bloom and amazing scents fill the airi.

A visit to Portland is not complete without visiting the rose gardens. Go during the blooming season, June at its best. It is free and has a great view of the city. The kids should enjoy it too.

Beautiful rose gardens with more rose types than ever imagined. If you love color and flowers, this is a stop to make. If you love photography, this place will keep you busy! We went when there was a light rain in the air and were not disappointed.... pictures were incredible with drops of rain water to accent the beauty.

A large variety of roses. Fairly easy walk although there are stairs to reach the main level. Food concessions. The Japanese garden is also worth a visit.
