We took both grand kids this year. They loved it. They also had an exhibit called Pompeii. Wow!!!!! They had all kinds of artifacts. This is a must see!!!!!! We didn't know that they had that exhibit, I'm glad that we went. I could spend...More

I took our teenage grandchildren to Omsi today and saw the Pompeii Exhibit. Portland is so lucky to see the artifacts that were buried 79 AD and preserved for us to see. The Bronze statue, kitchen pottery, fresco's, and jewelry, to name a few. If...More

This museum offers more than what can be completed in a day. The sub tour especially shouldn't be missed, no matter what your age. Lots of hands on exhibits that young children and teens can both enjoy. Really a great way to spend the day.

Bring the kids and your wallet. Prices are a bit high but worth it. There are so many things to do that you need to allow at least half a day and it's easy to fill an entire day. There are special exhibits you can...More

Plan on spending two or three hours minimum, especially if you bring your kids. Tons of excellent, interactive exhibits, and the rotating special exhibits are amazing. Definitely go to an IMAX movie.

The Pompeii Exhibit is not to be missed. I first saw a Pompeii Exhibit when I was 11 (at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry), and it was neat to watch my 11 year old son look in amazement at the OMSI Pompeii Exhibit....More

I haven't been OMSI in years, so I was excited to check it out with my boyfriend recently! First, we saw "Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Secret Ocean" in 3D. The 3D glasses don't fit very well over my glasses, so the show was kind of blurry and...More

I highly recommend visiting this museum especially if you have kids. Very educational. We went to see Pompeii II. Wish we stayed longer, we plan on coming back to see the submarine. We had lunch in the restaurant and prices are reasonable.

You can enjoy a Imax type movie (they call it empirical) without having to pay for the whole museum. We watched Wilds of Africa and then the Starry Nights show in the planetarium, which was relaxing and informative. They also have planetarium shows especially for...More

This is one the new style museums with mostly hands-on exhibits. Like my title says, it's great for kids, and mostly about physics. I would have enjoyed this museum much more if they had done the exhibits in multiple levels, like beginning, intermediate, and advanced....More

Hi there, I work at OMSI and answer your question: we have RV parking and you can stay in our lot for one night. We ask that you don't take up 5 spots in our parking lot. Our facilities manager is more than happy to... More
