The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is a nationally-renowned science center providing science learning to a range of audiences. Our programming is guided by OMSI’s long-term vision to promote a healthy, innovative, and sustainable society where everyone is prepared to participate in civic life. OMSI’s science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming helps visitors and program participants master 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration. We achieve this vision through exhibits, classes, camps, traveling educators, and adult programs around the state, making OMSI a trusted educational resource to all Oregonians.

Bright, loud, lots of things to do and see. Geared for school groups. I was underwhelmed for me but a family with children could spend a day.

Didn't look around the museum, but did take the Submarine tour which was very interesting and very good value. Tour guide was a veteran of the sub, told some great stories and you get to see the torpedoes, the tube and the control room amongst...More

Did not have enough time to finish all the museum, but from what I could tell was pretty decent, especially submarine tour is real valuable.

My family did a package which included all interactive areas, Robotics, Planetarium, IMAX, Interactive games and Submarine tour. The staff seemed to handle the large Memorial weekend crowd with minimal issues. The only area lacking staff support seemed to be the a cafe located next...More

First off, this is a great place for people with young kids. We have a teen who seemed to get bored after a little bit and was ready to go. Plan on this place only taking a couple of hours. The submarine tour was surprisingly...More

Not only does OMSI have permanent exhibits, an imax theatre, a planetarium, a submarine you can explore, interactive exhibits, and labs, it also has a restaurant, wonderful gift shop, traveling exhibits, and much much more. All ages!

We visited OMSI when our daughter was about 8 years old and toured the USSBlueback submarine. This visit instilled the desire to actually serve on a submarine. Fast forward 22 years and she is now in the first wave of women allowed to serve on...More

OMSI is just amazing. I don’t know of anything quite like it anywhere. Kids love it, and so do parents and grandparents. Highly engaging, and they really get how kids really are. Things change there pretty frequently too, so it never gets old.

Not cheap! Cost depends on which of many options (movies, submarine, special exhibits,...) you choose.
