What an amazing book store! This was my first time visiting the store and it was a Mecca to say the least. There is something there for everyone! We will definitely be going back there on our next visit to Portland.

Unless you just love bookstores or are looking for a special book, skip this. It's just a big, big used and new book store. There is a little cafe and gift section inside as well.

A trip to Portland isn't complete without a stop at Powell's. Went in looking for a book and came out with two. Love it.

This store has a crazy selection of books, I found three travel books as well as postcards of Oregon. It's overwhelming in a good way. My only complaint is that they mix new and used books in the same sections.

The best bookstore. Every conceivable subject covered. Brilliant staff who can help you find your way through the maze of rooms to find just the exact book you need.

Powell's in Portland has to be seen to be believed. More books than you can shake a stick at. Over four floors and covering a complete City block, the free maps that are available are a great help, although the bookshop is very well organised...More
