NW 23rd shopping area is just north across Burnside as well, salt and straw are on NW 23rd as well as Rams Head and some other great restaurants. Combine this into your drive to, from or between the other attractions like the Pittock... More

Tons of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Best French authentic quiche, croissants etc. all made on sight. Also bite size little versions of your favorites!

Portland has great districts with lots of neighborhood parks. Nob Hill is convenient and has the benefit of great stores and restaurants on 23rd Street. Visitors should rent a bike from the new bike racks all around the area. Good selection outside Fred Meyer's on 21st.

Less big box stores in the area. Older homes turned into retail units. Lots to see and eat. Seems to be more shops on 23rd than 21st.

This is a really cute neighborhood with older buildings that have been kept in good condition. The shopping areas have mostly local places, but there are also a few chain stores. It's a very lively area with people of all ages and types walking about. There are lots of options for eating and drinking. We spent an hour or so... More

This is a wonderful, lively neighborhood with tons of great restaurants and shops. It's beautiful in the day and at night. It feels safe and has its own unique flavor, like most neighborhoods in Portland. You have to visit this street if you are a first timer.

I have stayed in this area twice now. And I love it. Very close to coffee shops, restaurants and boutique shops. I never felt unsafe (woman sometimes out and about by myself).

This is a great neighborhood to walk around in to window shop, eat a good meal, get dessert or go to a movie. They even have a Trader Joe to buy food items.

The bellman at our hotel suggested this area to have lunch before going to Washington Park for the Rose Garden. Neighborhood filled with finely maintained Victorian style homes and good restaurants and bars. Walking up the hill was a bit tough for us but the views were worth it.
