OK but not great
Sep 2020
We live in the area and have visited all the fruit stands over the years. This one is ok. Not great. They have fresh fruit but their selection is limited compared to others. Their prices I think are among the highest in the valley. I think this is due to their great location right on highway #35. Service is good. Very knowledgeable. If you are in a hurry driving through the valley and you want some fresh fruit they will take care of your needs. If you are hungry for lamb you can find it here too.

Apple Pear Cider
Aug 2020
The Fruit Loop feels a million miles away from Portland, so beautiful! This farm had a colorful garden setting, cute animals and a view of Mt. Hood. Produce and cider are sold in a small structure open to the outside, so it's easy to socially distance. We felt very safe. They offer a variety of fresh cider. Loved all the options, there were a number of flavors and sizes. We tried the pear/apple combination which was a new taste for us. It's not cheap, but prices are comparable to what we spend at apple farms at home in California. We were happy to support a small business in this challenging time. The lady that sold us the cider was really nice also.

Cherry juice had gone bad, fruit was ridiculously expensive
Sep 2019
Although I would rather not write a review at all vs a bad one, this was not a great experience. It was $8 for 2 peaches and 2 apples. The cherry juice was spoiled, it smelled and tasted awful and it was $5 for a tiny container. The cider tasting was done in like 1/4 ounce cups. I went to Gorge White House and got an entire bag of beautiful peaches for $2 and a flight 8 ciders in 2 ounce glasses.

Cool view but otherwise meh
Sep 2018 • Couples
This farm has a wonderful view of Mount Hood especially with the beautiful dahlias growing in a nearby field. The little goats are also cute. Otherwise this is a fruit stand with fresh fruits and dairy items from nearby farms. The stand, despite the money they make, isn’t well maintained and hasn’t been improved in years. It’s a bit ramshackle. The service provided is grudging at best. It certainly isn’t about you but all about them. We probably won’t be back.

Clearly the author is uninformed as many who are quick to critique are. We at Draper Girls Country Farm are glad you enjoyed our field of dahlias, the breathtaking views and our little family of goats.. all of which cost thousands each year yet are free to enjoy. Our little fruit stand is well stocked with our product, and has maintained much of the same look and charm for three generations by design.. we love it and so do countless others each year. Our staff is well trained and friendly, always willing to share their time and knowledge. The nearby farms you refer to most likely are our orchards, which for the record, are tens of thousands more each year. We encourage you to educate yourself on what it takes to have a stand like ours, from an empty shelf to the fresh, full shelves you witnessed. If not, our staff can direct you to the nearest grocery store produce aisle.

Postcard view of Mt Hood and baby goats!
Jun 2018 • Couples
Stop for the fruit and ciders and stay for the view! There's a little picnic area and the cutest little goats right off the highway.

The Draper family has been in the Upper Hood River Valley for over about a century and can be counted on for the best selection of fruit available.
