Nice little stop off the side of the road. Spent no more than 10 minutes here but very beautiful. 🌊❤️❤️

It is a must see for locals and visitors alike. BUT, the best way to see it is from a boat below the falls. To totally experience the enormity and grandeur of the falls, on the river is the best. You can also see sea lions and salmon along with Native American hieroglyphics on the rocks.

I drive/ride by here all the time and depending upon how much rain we've recently had the Falls might be very tall or I've seen it where there are no Falls because the Willamette River is so swollen. There is a nice turnout on Hwy 99E and S 2nd St where you can view the Falls and across the street... More

Enjoyed the scenic panorama without the crowds. Amazing to see such a wide waterfall. Usually looking for the tall ones.

Some day the falls will be a 5 and beautiful. But because of bureaucrats in Oregon City its surrounded by eyesores, trash and condemned buildings that should have been torn down 6 years ago but have not. It is the 7th widest waterfall in the world at 1500 feet. If you catch it on a good day its beautiful. most... More

The history of the evolution of this area and the hydroelectric plants for the mill is on exhibit in the Clackamas county museum. So fascinating to stand and look down and be able to feel the power generated by the swirling water.

Just amazing to see, the Willamette River Falls over giant rocks spread all the way across the river and at the bottom 100 years ago, they built a mill, used the water to power it. At this site across the river they also built locks to raise boats up to the top level of the river. If you come to... More

Not much to do other than look. Easy pull off and view. Best time is when the river is high and a lot of water is flowing. Pull off on I205 North for a East view and Hwy 99E for a West view.

The Willamette Falls has so much significant here in Oregon City. It is the 2nd highest volume in the US. The changing season and the respective volume are always an attraction. The bridge, the observation point, and the path under the bridge are great ways to view.

Make sure you see it from Oregon City side by stillmans pub on 99E. I think the only other falls that spills more water is Niagara Falls. It's really speculation in the spring when the water is high
