I had never heard of this resort until a hotel in the area offered discount lift tickets. My husband and I came up on New Year's Day to celebrate and we had a wonderful time. The lodge is a bit small, but the mountain is phenomenal and the powder was so much fun to cut through. We will definitely return.

Fabulous snow. Terrific groomed runs on packed powder first day and fresh powder 2nd day. No lines end we were here day after Christmas and next day. Incredible price took me back 30+years. $35 full day lift ticket. 50% off coupon from closest motel (North Powder Motel) made it $17.50 for a full day of skiing. Will definitely make this... More

My friend and I came here from Friday to Sunday for XC skiing. They are only open and groomed on those days, so don't expect every day of the week grooming. The trails are well maintained and the two people who staff the Nordic lodge are very nice, friendly, and helpful. A Nordic day pass is $13 for the whole... More

I've been visiting ALMR off and on since 1967. Have never been disappointed with their staff and service. Lunch yesterday was a huge chef salad for $5.00. Breakfast this morning was a half order of biscuits and gravy, which was plenty, for $3.00. They had local micro-brews on tap down at the Starbottle Saloon.

Two of my friends and I cat skied on Friday then lift skied on Saturday - all of us new to the mountain et al. From the moment we walked in to register for the cat ski adventure to the day we left - the quality of customer service never wavered - it was top notch. For instance, while cat... More

Great skiing in a small family oriented resort. Downhill skiing, boarding, and nearby at a separate facility Nordic are offered. Snow shoeing can be done at multiple places near the resort as well. OK food (much like any other small ski resort) and served with a smile. The folks are very helpful. Overall a wonderful experience.

The search for snow, prompted my 8 hour drive to Anthony Lakes in Eastern Oregon. This little area has a lot going for it, especially when no one else has much snow in the state. For a single chair area, there is a lot of accessible terrain; some pretty challenging. The snow cat was not operating when I was there,... More

My husband and I visited here during before New years. He skiied and was impressed by how short the lines were and how great the snow was. He said those around him were complaining about the "crowd", but to us it was small. I was 5 months pregnant so I stayed in the lodge in the morning. Lodge was comfortable... More

The skiing, family atmosphere, lounge and views are outstanding. The food quality has gone down hill over the last 4-5 years. They offer free camping, some of the best powder in the western US. Hands down the best skiing in oregon. also offer cat ski tours for a reasonable price. Check out nearby places to stay on their website and... More
