View was pretty on a gorgeous day.
We were not smart enough to view it at high tide so the punch bowl was empty.
Kids loved walking down to the beach to the south of it and playing on the rocks and waves. The walk back up the steps was A LOT HARDER than the walk down the steps!
Had ice cream at the shop up in the parking area. Servers were nice. Ice cream was okay to good. They gave big portions but I didn't find anything special about my mint chocolate chip.
Parking was difficult but we were fortunate to find a spot as we turned around and someone pulled out.

worth a look. It's right over the edge of the parking lot, easy access and is impressive. It's a big giant hole in the rock where the ocean pours in.

it's a cool location but parking is tight. Worth the effort but be aware it gets crowded. You will immediately know were to stand to get the best picture.

Quick stop, 30 min tops unless you decide to mingle in the shops. The punch bowl was cool to see. It’s a one time done deal kind of attraction though. Overall I liked the visit and would definitely recommend if you haven’t been before!

I enjoyed watching the surfers.
I was there midweek, and midday. In the middle of September.
There was close to 2 dozen surfers with people coming and going.
Oh, and the tide pools are great!

We went on a very cold blustery foggy day. They have the area fenced off, but you can look down into the punchbowl. We went between low and high tide, so you could look down into the bowl. The area itself has some pretty views and lots of surfers nearby.

At the end of Otter Crest Loop you come to a four way stop sign. This is 1st street. Turn right & the road dead ends at the punchbowl. Parking is horrible. Lots of people on a Wed morning.
The punch bowl is interesting & worth a look. The trail is paved, but pretty uneven.
No fee to get in!

During our Oregon Coast drive, we stopped at the Devil's Punchbowl for a quick visit. When we came on Tuesday 7/27 in the morning, it was low tide and there was no water in the hole. We even saw some people inside. Parking was easy and it was a short walk to the viewpoint. No fees to enter.

We saw a sign that said RV parking but never located the parking lot for RV’s. Perhaps all the cars and vans just made it into a regular parking lot. We asked if anyone knew where it was and no one had a clue. We did not find a place to park our truck and trailer. This may be worth it if you time the tide right otherwise not much to see unless you are looking to enjoy a nice walk on the beach or a picnic in the grass.

I am visiting this in early November, and would like to visit the inside at Lowtide. However I have heard that the tides run higher and it might not be low enough. Any feedback?

I’m not for sure
When is the best time of day to visit?

I went not knowing if it was high tide or not and it was pretty cool. I would think high tide would have the best show of the punch bowl.

Dog friendly?

There were lots of dogs there so I’m going to go with yes on that. Friendly tip - get the app for tide charts or get a tide chart from a ranger station. You can walk into the Punchbowl at low tide and then view it from above at high tide. Amazing experience! Enjoy!

We keep missing the entrance? Where do you actually enter to access the Devil's Punchbowl?

Make sure you put it in your GPS as Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area. Watch for the sign. It looks like a regular side street but keep going. It is at the end of the street. You will pass the picnic area, restrooms and then there is a coffee shop at the end. If you go at high tide you see it with water in it. Low tide you will get to walk into it. I liked low tide best. Check the boulders as you might see a starfish or two. Good Luck!!
