There are several restaurants and lots of touristy shops here. It is interesting to watch the fishing boats unload and the harbour seals arrive in June for the summer. A very busy spot in June so summers must be a zoo.

Old town along the Yaquina Bay harbor is an historic experience, with quaint buildings featuring gift shops and restaurants. The harbor itself is alive with fishing trawlers of all sizes.

Newport has an active fishing industry. Walk the bay front and see boats come in and unload their cargo. Great shops/tours and the sea lions are a blast!!

We enjoyed our visit to Bayfront. Lots of great shops, galleries and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the sea lions resting on the city docks.

An authentic harbor complete with fishing boats and sailboats. It has it's charm and resident seals but not a whole lot past that.

The place is rather unique - well situated, offering a great look at fishermen at work, and tons of little stores, eateries, and places related to seafaring. Quite enjoyable....
