This place has some very old phones adn rare ones at that. They do work on all styles and can make your old style wall phnes or dial phones work with todays tech. The staff is very knowledgable is different eras of phones if you have any questions. This is a small store but really worth stopping into. They also sell antique phones that you can use now.

This store is very unique and is as much of a museum as a store. Lots of phones and phone items for sale. All phones have been refurbished and are in working order. In fact if you bring in a old phone, they can update it to be able to actually work. For a fee of course! Very cool place to stop!

When we went into the The Olde Telephone Company, we saw lots of old phones. However, the owner of this place can change any phone to work as new. People like the old phones and they like to use it.

Now this is a reality. Any phone can be used as a new phone. Even if the phone you have is over 100 years old.

That was cool!

Worthwhile to see!

We were staying in the Newport area trying to get downtown. We needed to go straight across but it was too much traffic. So we went up a block and discovered this place!!! My husband wanted to come back and I just told him, stop now! We did and we were glad we did! What a great place! I can't remember the ladies name but she was very helpful! LOVED looking at all the phones here!!! We left the shop with The Matrix phone for my husband and a Snoopy phone for me! They shipped them right to our door because we didn't have room in our suitcases. Both phones arrived undamaged and we couldn't be happier!! We have been telling everyone about how neat this place was! Highly recommend !!!

A wonderful collection of telephones, over 100 years of history. People are very knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing to see the changes and how far we have come. Just a few blocks from hwy101 in downtown Newport.

Having been to Newport on multiple occasion, we were looking for alternatives to the shops along Bay St. - Just off Hwy 101, we found this museum/store specializing in telephone and related memorabilia. the owner has lovingly preserved phones from the early twentieth century to the recent past . A great place to visit for nostalgic adults and curious kids and a nice break from the beaches and bay.

If you are interested in taking a walk through history then this is a great place to visit. George Valenzuela, the owner, has made antique phones his passionate hobbie for many years and recently opened this store to pursue it full time. The phones date back to around 1900 and are a great representation of the 30+ independent companies that produced phones in that early time period. He even has a couple of antique phone booths that are in wonderful condition.George is more than happy to answer your questions (without any sales pitch) but watch out because this fascinating collection can be very contagious as we found out when we purchased one of the first attempts at a dial phone from 1905. But whether you simply want some insight into the history of phones or want to take a piece of history home with you then do stop by.
