Our experience was disappointing because of how much we didn’t get to see. Everything was under construction and I feel we should’ve been notified before purchasing tickets.

I came without children to just explore. A few favorite exhibits were closed but I loved the jellies nursery and can’t wait to come back and pet the octopus. Skipping petting jellies …..

We had a great time here during our stay in Newport. I've heard about this aquarium for a while and was ecstatic to get a chance to take our 3 year old here. He had a lot of fun going all over the place and seeing something different. The puffins were amazing to see, love these little critters. The price of admission was pretty high for all the exhibits that were down and the construction though. Adult tickets maybe could go down especially with all of the traffic that goes through here.

I am happy to see the aquarium and all the sea creatures but I don’t think the money is worth that much!

Understand there are parts under construction but for $49 for two seniors I expected a whole lot more to see! Very disappointing! Maybe lower the prices until the construction is done and there are more features to look at?

Cool but over priced. Especially the price of adult tickets. Almost $70 to take two adults and one child. A lot of the tanks are small. Especially the tunnel with the sharks. Just seemed crowded in some of the tanks. However, this place is fun for kids. If your an adult just don’t go without children.

We drove from Eugene to visit the aquarium with my 1.5 yr & 3 yr old. It was much smaller than expected with not much of a variety to look at. BUT!! what they DO HAVE , the kids LOVED! like the walk through tank was the best part! overall, I DO recommend it and the money is worth it either way because it goes to support wonderful things as a non profit aquarium. If your driving the distance , it's still a good trip because the beach is 8 minutes away and historic bay front is fun to walk around also!

When does the ticket schedule open for September, after Labor Day? We are coming to the coast in September, from September 6th and I've been trying to pre purchase tickets but the calendar is not marked at all, green or red after September 5th. I've also emailed and had no response. Do I need to pre purchase tickets or is it not busy during the week?
Thanks for reaching out--so sorry you tried to contact us through email and did not receive a response! Our ticketing system only books out so far, which is why you aren't able to select those dates. September is when our busy season starts to taper off, and and we're less busy on weekdays, too. You do not need to pre-purchase tickets, you are welcome to buy them upon arrival.
At the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, we implemented timed ticketing and required guests to pre-purchase. Should there be a resurgence of COVID-19 within Oregon state, we may return to a reservation-based system. If that is the case, we will announce it over our website, social media, and voicemail messages.
Are ID necessary for online tickets? Me and my boyfriend are 17 and got tickets in advance but doesn’t have an valid ID to show at check in. Will we be let in?

You'll probably be okay unless the ticket purchase was a scam.

The admission for adult is actually 22.95 (via their website) Seniors & Young adults are 19.95, A child (age 3 to 12) is 14.95 and Infants and Toddlers (0-2) are free. Our hotel gave us a coupon that either a child's admission was free or 10% off total cost. As my kids were free we got the % off.
