A very modern facility that hosts a variety of events throughout the summer season. The dock to the Willamette river is relatively new and features a special dock area for kayaks. Most times the river current is pretty quick but completely manageable in a kayak. Entry to the dock is tricky in my 12 foot boat but managed it after... More

We spent two hours exploring the trails and historical structures in the park. Well worth the $5 parking pass.

Great location for RV camping, sites are a good size, bathrooms available and clean, was quiet when we stayed (early October), would stay again.

Champoeg State Heritage Park is an wonderful place for families and anyone interested in Oregon State history, relaxing, walking, and Frisbee golf. Campsites are well taken care of, restrooms and showers are clean and well stocked. Cabins are a great option for those not saddled with the expensive rv or camper. There is a delightful walking trail to historic Butteville,... More

We have enjoyed several visits at this park and we enjoy ourselves every time! The campsites are pretty close together in the first loop, but in the back loop things are a little more spread out, but very open. The park has nice flat paved sites for RVs and also has nice little cabins too. There is a frisbee golf... More

We enjoyed the historical facts and museum but there were so many people and dogs.... We thought it was a dog park at first. No matter where we went there was something to see but, if your teaching your kids about respect or serenity for there surroundings..... Don't bother staying. It was loud, dogs barking all night, a lot of... More

Not only is this a historic place to visit , it's a great place to camp, walk ,hike, and bike. There is even a complete disc golf course. Camping cabins, and complete RV spots.

We were here in November, so didn't do camping of hiking. We went for the museum at the information center. This is a very small museum, but really well done and informative. We learned a lot about the early Willamette valley, river , and it's early settlers. Highly recommend a visit.

This is our second time at Champoeg State Park. It is a lovely campground with manicured sites. Loop B is our preference, with views of open fields and scattered trees. Don't worry about the lack of sewer h/u at some sites since they have plenty of wells specifically designed to dump your kitchen sink water. The bike path is accessible... More

Wonderful park with tremendous scenery. Great for both long and short hikes. We went in November and the weather was still good.
