I gave this place quite a few tries over a couple of months, and the first few times I was impressed. I'm on a mission to find the best fish and chips (cod, because every damned time I've had halibut fish and chips, it's been dreadfully dry). The first few times the fish and chips were hot... beer batter perfect, and although the fries were crinkle-cut, they were hot and tasty. However, the last time here the fish was awful... perhaps it was the time of day (late morning)? It tasted greasy and the flavor was totally off. I'm sticking with Gaffer's from now on, unless I'm too lazy and wasn't something more convenient. Also, it's be terrific if their corned beef and cabbage was on the menu full time, instead of just twice a month when they have their live music Friday nights.…

Stopped in on Friday night - a pretty okay place. Had a pretty good French dip sandwich, they had a few Irish beers on tap and some live music. The drinks and food were not super-expensive, service was solid. I enjoyed my visit.

My wife and I ate here a week ago. About the only Irish item on the menu that we could find was something called Irish Nachos 9it involved nacho cheese over tater tots). Otherwise, it was just like any other pub but without any real attractiveness. It was was rather threadbare and worn. The food wasn't bad; I had a burger and my wife a club sandwich. Duffy's is a fun little Irish Pub in downtown Milwaukie. The bartenders, cook, and everyone there are all very friendly. I have been going here for almost a year now, and it's a great place to go when you want to just have a cold one, maybe some bar food to nosh on, and visit with friends. …
