Not much to say, but love driving by our local Statue of Liberty right in Milwaukie, Oregon. She is not quite as tall as the original, but she is still lovely & worth stopping to photograph. I do not know where she came from, but we are keeping her.

This is nestled between two strip malls on an ugly commercial stretch of highway. Who thought this was a good idea? It's right next to the nail salon, and across the street from the strip club.

I did a project on one of the buildings behind this statue and met the owner who created it. A very proud American and great guy. So unique to have this in our Portland backyard. Definitely worth a visit.

I had hear about this Statue of Liberty Replica, but have never seen it before. All I knew was that it was somewhere in Milwaukie, Or. That was until I happened to be driving north on McLoughlin Blvd. Suddenly I saw it in a parking lot over on my left. I pulled over and found a place to park. Then got out for a closer look. The location is near the corner of Roethe Road and McLoughlin Blvd. It is about 2 miles away from the Bomber Restaurant. The Liberty Statue Replica is about 50 feet tall. Standing on a round pedestal that is about 10 feet tall. There is an eagle on the front of the pedestal. A nice touch. I walked all around the statue taking photos to get an idea of what is the best way to views it. And see how it looked. It was starting to get dark. A shame I didn't find it during an early time of day. Still it was interesting to see all the same. And impressive. Well worth the stop to see it.…
