I used to go to this lake all the time and rent boats but for some reason the marina is closed this year. The lake gets really low by the middle of summer too. Beautiful area tho.

Pretty surroundings. Could use a little more seating. It may be small, but good food. Nice afternoon ride on your motorcycle.

This park/campground area is perfect for a quick getaway or long term stay. Lots of trails, nice cabins/camping sites, and beautiful lake for swimming or boating. The lake was very low during our visit but our daughters still had a great time in the water.

Due to the lack of rain and snow this last winter, the lake has been so low that you could not launch your boat. There are still a lot of fish in the lake.

My favorite mountain lake around here. We rent a patio boat for the family and a couple of the kids' friends, stay out for 4-6 hours fishing and swimming. Got some big bass and trout last few years.

I'm sorry that I don't know if they rent kayaks at Howard Prairie. I believe they rent boats? Let me see if I can ask a local person who knows. Sorry couldn't answer your question.
