Watch out America. All campgrounds around Diamond Lake have been turned over to the Federal Government through Reservation.gov.
All they do is to see how much money they can steal from you. I reserved a campsite, however, I had to cancel for a later date. Not only did they charge me $8 but, also an additional $10. For what, I'm not sure. They don't do anything. This used to be first come first serve. Now because of Covid19 they feel it is necessary to rip you off with fees. THIS IS OUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK! You wonder why everyone is taking to the streets to protest.
Just remember recreation.gov is just another arm of the federal government that is failing to do their job. So sad.

Great bike trail!
Oct 2019
In early October we rode our bikes around the lake on the 11 mile paved trail. Absolutely beautiful, no bugs, no crowds. Takes about 2 hours.

Pretty little stop after Crater Lake
Sep 2019
We just stopped off here which is about 20 mins from Crater Lake.
Nice little stop and it was nice to see locals just fishing and enjoying the peaceful lake.

Lunch and Tubing
Dec 2018 • Couples
We drove from the Roseburg area last 12/24/2018 on what they told us was the first day of a good accumulation of snow. The folks at the lodge were friendly and provided a great lunch and good coffee. We were directed to where the tubing was just a short distance away and e3nded up having a great day in the snow.

We loved this place for the beautifull views and the peace and quiet. Several people had a boat but the noise never bothered us.

Beautiful fall biking
Sep 2018 • Couples
Beautiful 11mile bicycle loop around lake. Gorgeous in fall. Trail wanders through the campgrounds, then takes off either close to lake or slightly up hill. Slight elevation gain and loss.

Nice walk, nice view, nice time out of the stress of the city
Sep 2018 • Couples
We drove from Roseburg and first enjoyed the drive on 138 especially from the Swiftwater park. We stopped at the lake in the beginning of the afternoon [and had to go back to rose burg for the night] so we did not have much time. So we just walked for 2 hours on the bike trail/path around the lake. This was a very nice (easy) walk on a very nice sunny day and we enjoyed the quietness in this pristine location. I'd like to come back to bike around, fish a little bit. Little shop, restaurant and even a post office on site.

Great visitor's center
Aug 2018 • Family
We stabled our horses at the Diamond Lake Corrals and camped at Diamond Lake Campground. We had a great time swimming, biking, and fishing (didn't catch anything though) and the camping was good despite no camp fires allowed and decreased air quality.
We went to the Visitor's Center and were pleased with the informational handouts available, the educational displays, and the welcoming knowledgeable staff member (thanks Carol!). We even got a stamp for our National Parks Passport.
