We went here to get away for the weekend and have stayed at many Oregon State Parks this one however was the worst cabin we have ever stayed in. All of the other cabins and yurts we have stayed in had a futon and bunk beds a table and chairs. This one did not. There was 2 double beds and... More

The park was really quiet. It's been over 3 years since we were last there, and this time we were there with a new motorhome. It's maiden voyage. The sites are clean and long. Very comfortable setting with lots of trails to hike. We travel with 3 standard poodles. One of the boys is elderly, so he only walks a... More

We didn't know what to expect in this park out in the middle of nowhere. We were very surprised at how big it was and very well kept up. Lots of cabins and and the spaces were large. We were on the Deschutes river which was beautiful.

This year we could not secure a spot in the loop we were in previously but this loop was also quiet and clean with good hosts. I believe it was the oldest loop as the rest rooms were not as large and I was surprised that only 2 stalls for each sex could work for that many sites, but it... More

We stayed in a deluxe cabin in the south loop, equipped w/full-size refrigerator,, handicap ramp & shower, microwave, tv (no service--for DVD;s only); tables, chairs. It sleeps 5. Internet/cell service in unavailable, so it's a wonderful opportunity to unplug & enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We don't hike or bike, so can't comment on the trails. This made an ideal base... We were not experience campers so were surprised by the cold night when we camped there during the Labor Day weekend. We should have brought some heaters with us since we were in a site with electricity. Other than that it is a very beautiful place to stay, with river running next to the camp site.

We went to Le Pine State Park. The day use area is under the trees by the water. There is nice picnic tables. There is a campground. There is hiking and equestrian trails. We were there mid week and very few people were in the day use area.

Most camp sites folks are considerate and observe a no noise after 10PM. Not so much here at La Pine, or maybe just the 3 nights I stayed. My 13 and 15 year olds were subjected to young adults bragging about getting drunk; others were loud, obnoxious and drunk; while my Canadian neighbors were singing well after midnight...also DRUNK. See... More

This campground is one of the best. We enjoy the hiking and biking trails. There are even some geocaches here! The North loop of the campground is a little more secluded, which we prefer. The southern campground has cabins and seems a little greener however it's more crowded than even the middle loop. The river here is absolutely breathtaking.

Great trails but the Horse People ruin it. Dog owners need to clean up but horse riders get a pass and the rest of us get to walk or ride through it. Horse riders need to clean up their act.
