Fun family outing.

Gorgeous views and a solid trek up the mountain to see snow in the summer! Great outing for the whole family.

We were in Joseph, Oregon to attend a music festival. We had a lot of extra time during the day before the music was to start so we drove to the end of Lake Wallowa and took the Tramway to the top. The cost was $56 for the two of us. We're seniors, but I'm not sure if that made... More

The tramway takes you high into Alpen like mountains. The view on the way up is beautiful, but the view at the top is breathtaking!

I've been visiting Wallowa Lake since I was a child. I had fond memories of the tramway trips to Mt. Howard and revisiting that with my own family now is even better. We take the tram every time we come stay at the village. It is an expensive ride, but it gets you to a high peak in a hurry... More

Expensive but worth the views over the countryside. The signage at the top and quality of the trails are good, thanks, I think to the maintenance by parks staff. One may be lucky enough to see people waiting to fly para-foils (kites) which carry them out over the lake or ranchland below. Did not try the restaurant at the top... More

Beautiful views from the top of the tram, I think it is about 4000 feet above the valley floor. Food is primarily hamburgers and sandwiches. They had a good berry crisp for dessert.

No waiting, safe tram car, and friendly operators. The view was panoramic and spectacular. Trails were safe, clear, and not crowded.

The view from atop Mt. Howard is super. There a several short hikes, each of which offers a view from a different direction. You can stay on top as long as you like. Enjoy a beautiful day on top of a 8,255′ mountain!

Very pretty views and also a good value. The live music in the cafe was too loud, but the food was great!

We have been on other trams, in the Redwoods and in Switzerland. While Wallowa lake area in sometimes referred to as "little Switzerland", we didn't really get that feel (perhaps it just needed some snow). However, this was a great tram ride, going up quite a ways to the top of Mt. Howard. Worth the price of admission. Be sure... More
